Vault-tec......a company which was owned by the United States Goverment before The Great War.......they created the Vault system..... also known as Project SafeHouse.....its main headquarters were located in downtown Washington, DC.......the first Vault to be created was underneath Los Angeles......After that, they continue 2 make 122 more vaults.....but the vaults werent intended to protect the United States citizens.....there were about a population of 400 million by the year of 2077.....its was calculated that Vault-Tec would need to create more then 400,000 vaults......so Vault-Tec finally decided to only create 122 vaults.......but the true intentions of the Vault was to study how the human will react in total isolation.......and how sucessfully re-colonize the Earth after the Vault opens.......
